Founder Toolkit (FTK) helps founders develop business ideas through a guided conversation, business assessments, a Business Profile, and pitch materials. This policy explains what information we collect and how it is used.
When you create an account, you provide a name and a username, and you choose a password. As you use Founder Toolkit, you also enter content about your business idea.
We store your name, your username, a hash of your password (not the password itself), your account role, a unique account identifier, your account creation and last-login timestamps, and your AI-processing consent record (a timestamp and a version number). We do not collect your email address, phone number, or date of birth.
We store the business content you create, including your business ideas, conversation messages, business assessments and their history, your Business Profile and its history, reasoning and analysis data, your Business Package, and your generated pitch-deck files (PowerPoint and PDF).
We use this information to provide the product — to run the guided conversation, produce assessments and your Business Profile, and generate your Business Package and pitch deck. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.
Founder Toolkit uses third-party AI services to provide its AI features. When you use an AI-powered feature, relevant content you have entered — such as your business idea, conversation messages, assessments, Business Profile, and reasoning-derived information — may be sent to an external AI service provider for processing.
The external AI service provider currently used is DeepSeek. DeepSeek processes content you submit through its application programming interface (API). Account identifiers (your name, username, and unique account identifier) and session identifiers are not included in the content sent to DeepSeek. DeepSeek’s own retention, use, and deletion of data it receives are governed by DeepSeek’s terms and policies, not by this policy.
Before any AI-powered processing occurs, you are shown a notice and must affirmatively agree. If you choose not to agree, you can keep using your account and view your existing sessions, but AI-powered features will not be available. You will not be asked to agree again unless the notice changes. No business content is sent to an AI service provider before you agree.
Founder Toolkit is hosted on infrastructure provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS). Founder Toolkit and its hosting providers process and store the information described above in order to operate the service.
Founder Toolkit does not use advertising, advertising SDKs, behavioral tracking, analytics services, crash-reporting services, or social-media or marketing SDKs.
Passwords are stored as salted hashes, not in plain text, and data is transmitted over HTTPS. We use reasonable measures to protect your information, although no system can be completely secure.
We keep your account and business content for as long as your account exists, so that the product remains available to you.
You can delete your account from inside Founder Toolkit at any time. Deleting your account removes your account record and the business content described above, including your sessions, messages, assessments, profiles, reasoning data, Business Package, and pitch-deck files. Content you previously submitted to an external AI service provider is governed by that provider’s policies and may not be immediately deleted by Founder Toolkit.
Founder Toolkit keeps automated backups for disaster recovery. These backups are retained for approximately seven days. This means that deleted information may remain in older backup copies for up to approximately seven days before those copies expire.
Founder Toolkit is intended for users 13 years of age or older, and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not ask for your age or date of birth. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, please contact us at support@candleofcare.org so the matter can be addressed.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date above.
